Shane Adams
Shane Adams is considered the world’s best full-contact jouster, coach and trainer, and now he is bringing back history’s original extreme sport and transforming it into a 21st century event.
Adams was raised on a farm in Ontario, Canada around horses and dreamed of being a modern day knight. He got his start in theatrical jousting, but wanted something more intense. Adams was a prime force behind the movement to bring back full-contact jousting, a sport with real hits and real danger. In 1997 during his first international jousting tournament, riding a borrowed horse, he soon defeated the reigning world jousting champion and became the biggest name in an emerging sport.
Shane is the former president of the World Championship Jousting Association. He holds 17 international jousting titles and co-founded numerous competitive spectacles around North America. FULL METAL JOUSTING is the realization of a dream to take the sport mainstream by hosting a competition among some of the toughest riders in America, and training them to joust for real.
