Most people who drive by an abandoned building would see, well, an abandoned building. Jay Chaikin sees dollar signs. This series follows Chaikin and his partners Dan Graham and Mark Pakenas as they scour through dark, dank and dilapidated structures across the US in hopes of uncovering forgotten pieces of American history. For every item they uncover in such places as the former Pabst Brewing Co headquarters in Milwaukee, a grist mill in Maryland, and a 170-year-old church in Philadelphia, Chaikin must negotiate its sale from the building's owners, a process that can be the hardest part of his job. But he rarely leaves any site empty-handed. He takes what he buys back to his workshop in Pennsylvania to refurbish before reselling them.

As a new alligator hunting season gets underway, hunters face a more crippling problem than ever before: a surplus of farm-raised gators has flooded the buyers' market, driving prices to their lowest level in a decade. Inventories are full, and buyers are threatening to shut down early this season. For the hunters who live off the money from gator season, it's a matter of keeping their families fed. They must race to get tags filled quickly before buyers close their doors. King of the Swamp Troy Landry has more on his mind than just prices, so he's decided to promote his son, Chase, to captain of his own boat for the first time ever. There's new blood on the Edgar boats this season, as patriarch Daniel has called his son Dwaine, in from Texas to work as his deckhand. RJ and Jay Paul Molinere also decide to run two boats this year, so Jay Paul captains his own boat for the first time and hires swamp veteran Tommy Chauvin to be his deckhand.

This discovery began a quest that goes on until this day, and has involved everyone from FDR to John Wayne. What lies beneath Oak Island? Is it a pirate treasure or a Viking horde? An ancient Fort Knox or even a lost Biblical relic like the Ark of the Covenant? No one knows, and anyone who has tried to find out has encountered an unexpected problem: booby-traps. Someone went to great measures to hide whatever is there, because as soon as you dig down a few feet, sea-water from various hidden, man-made channels floods the hole. In addition, each project will have a daily 'burn rate' which will show how much money the flipper is losing every day.

Desert Collectors

Nigel finally shows us his collection via his memorabilia store in Kalgoorlie. His collection is as diverse as it is extensive, and Nigel says that's because of the people he's met over the years and the stories they tell about their own collections. Some of his favourite items include a robe and gloves worn by Muhammad Ali in 1971, a 1957 Chevy, and autographs of everyone from Walt Disney to Cecile B deMille. Although Nigel makes a living selling these things, there are some items he can't put a price on. Later, Nigel's back at Geoff's where the boys are attempting to move several cars and other bits and pieces to get at a car Geoff wants restored. The only way to do this is with a 65 tonne crane. When the crane arrives, it is joined by its driver Hans - a collector of matchbox cars, trucks and model trains. It doesn't stop there with Hans, he also has an impressive array of tiny military vehicles. Enough to invade a small country - with the emphasis on small!
